Mr.
Ed Klein, assistant principal at Euclid High School, was hired to be Beachwood High School's next
principal. His hiring was unanimously approved during a Special Board of Education meeting on May 30.
Mr.
Klein worked at Euclid High School for the past 12 years, including the
last nine years as a high school administrator. In addition to
experience with curriculum, instruction, and school safety, he has
established himself as a community partner, effective manager and
professional leader. Mr. Klein was recently named Assistant Principal of
the Year by the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators.
Mr. Klein begins his official duties on August 1. He will replace Mr. Bob Hardis, who was hired to be the district's assistant superintendent.
"I
am very pleased to welcome someone with these exceptional
credentials to lead our high school, and I am grateful to the many
staff, students and community members who participated in the selection
process," said Beachwood City Schools Superintendent Dr. Richard A. Markwardt. "I look forward to Mr. Klein joining our Beachwood High School
team."
